BharatNet Scheme Apply Online: The BharatNet Scheme is the biggest rural broadband project in the world. Its goal is to offer high-speed internet to India’s rural and remote areas. The Ministry of Communications started this program to connect more than 250,000 Gram Panchayats to broadband and make it possible to offer services in e-health, e-education, and e-governance.
This project intends to improve the intermediate layer of the country’s broadband internet infrastructure, which supports the Digital India Vision.

How is the BharatNet Scheme being implemented?
The project is being implemented in three phases:
First Phase– completed by December 2017, providing optical fiber cable connectivity to about 100,000 Gram Panchayats.
Second Phase – Connecting the remaining 150,000 Gram Panchayats, completed by March 2023, including last-mile Wi-Fi connectivity.
Third Phase – From 2019 to 2023, this phase will establish a future-proof network using a public-private partnership model.
Current Status of BharatNet Scheme
Optical fibre – 686,963 km of optical fibre cable is laid.
Connected Gram Panchayats – 212,778 Gram Panchayats are service-ready.
Ventures of FTTH – Established 1,022,018 fibre-to-the-home connections.
Wi-Fi Hotspots – Installed 104,574 Wi-Fi hotspots covering last-mile connectivity in India.

First, visit the official website of the BBNL. After that, download the application form for the BharatNet Scheme bandwidth or dark fibre. Fill out the downloaded application form with the correct details carefully. Ensure the form is signed by the authorised signatory. Attach all the necessary documents sincerely. Then, payment by demand draft or pay order addressed to the BBNL collection account in New Delhi. Send the application form and scanned copies to [email protected] for expedited processing.
